My dear Parents,

The season of Advent has begun, and. Christmas comes closer every day. To end the term and to prepare for Christmas, we shall be holding our Festival of Lessons and Carols, and I want to invite you and all your family to join us.

There will be two public performances, as follows:-

Wednesday, 20th December, at 8 p.m.
Friday, 22nd December, at 8 p.m.

Both performances will take place in the Assembly Hall of the Upper
School. Tickets may be purchased. every day from now onwards in either
building. Prices will be as follows:-

Adults: 30 pence.
Students: 10 pence. ("Students" means pupils at this school,
                      or any other school).

cheques should be made out to "Plessington High School". The performance
will last about 1¼ hours. Cars may be parked in the school playground.

The organ and the Orchestra will provide the accompaniment;
the Lessons will be read by representatives of the School at all levels
and of the Governing Body. Everyone present will receive a copy of the
words, and there will be plenty of opportunity for the audience to sing.
