I joined in 1974 and re-took my 0 levels, then did my A levels there . I do remember it but can't remember any fellow students names. So does anyboby remember me?

No one is likely to remember me as I was part of the staff for one school year only as a French Assistant in 1970. I still picture in my mind 's eye the faces of a few of the teachers at that time and Father Mc Guiness as
the Headmaster of St Augustine's. As for the students, they're now just an anonymous crowd of uniformed kids. Afterwards,
I became a teacher of English Language in Clermont Ferrand and have now been retired for fourteen years but have never forgotten those days .
All the best to those who read these lines and those who, by any chance, would happen to remember me.

I love dipping into this site from time to time - the photos look so archaic, but then again, they are from half a century ago! So sad there are so few images, and just wish I had some to share!

If you remember John White from 1966 intake, he sadly passed away last Friday 15 November 2019 aged 64 years.
John lived in Brinnington, went to St Bernadette's Primary and spent his working life as a teacher- mainly at St Ambrose RC Primary, Adswood, Stockport.
His funeral is on Thursday 28 November 2019 at St Bernadette's Church, Foliage Road, Brinnington, Stockport SK5 8AL. RIP John
